Marketing Intern for Curbside Bicycles (Local Startup) - Spring & Summer 2026

Department Overview:
Curbside Bicycles is the fastest growing bicycle repair business in Dane County.
Started in 2020 during the pandemic - we now service hundreds of neighborhoods,
apartments/condos, businesses, farmer's markets, and events with convenient
same-day turnaround bike tune-ups.
Our main branch is in Madison, WI with a secondary branch in Chicago and a
winter branch in Arizona. Sights are set on the Twin Cities for the next branch
location

Schedule:
Remote work, but preference given to students still living in Madison over the
summer.
5 to 15 hours/week. Flexible based on student needs

Qualifications:
- Work-Study Required
- Preferrably pursuing a Bachelor's in a related field (Business, Marketing,
Entrepreneurship, Communications, Operations & Technology Management, etc.)
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Self-motivated
- Critical Thinking & Creativity: Duties may include coming up with creative
ways to advertise the business, generate new leads, reach out to prospective
leads, etc.
- Familiar with Facebook & Instagram and ready to assist with running ad
campaigns
- Familiarity with Google Ads not necessary but would be a plus
- Ability to use Google Sheets, Google Docs, Google Drive
Position Summary/Job Duties:
- Managing & Growing Curbside Bicycles' Facebook and Instagram accounts for the
Madison Branch
- Potentially running paid ad campaigns on Facebook and Google Adwords
(depending on experience)
- Identify & connect with apartments/condos/businesses in the Madison and
Chicago area for the purposes of partnering. This will include developing a list
of prospective leads and reaching out/following-up
- Help with community outreach in Madison and Chicago
