SUMMARY
The Clinical Services Intern will support patient safety efforts by reviewing
fall-related incident reports, identifying trends, and helping design prevention
initiatives. This internship provides a unique opportunity for undergraduate
students to meaningfully contribute to patient safety work while gaining
experience that is applicable across any healthcare setting. The intern will
work alongside clinical Vice Presidents, Directors, and Patient Safety leaders
and will have exposure to executive (C-suite) leadership. There may also be an
opportunity to contribute to work that is published or shared broadly.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties and
tasks may be assigned.
* Review fall-related incident reports and assist with quantitative and
qualitative analysis
* Help identify patterns, contributing factors, and areas for improvement
related to patient falls
* Support the development of preventive actions and improvement recommendations
* Assist with planning and execution of Falls Prevention Week, including:
* Developing a theme
* Designing educational and engagement activities
* Help prepare summaries, presentations, and visual materials for clinical and
leadership teams
* Actively promotes GUEST customer service standards; develops effective
relationships at all levels of the organization.
* Participates in team concepts and promote a team effort; performs duties in
accordance with company policies and procedures.
* Regular and reliable attendance is required for the job.
Qualifications
Qualifications/Requirements:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each
essential duty satisfactorily.
Requirements include:
* Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Healthcare preferred
* Ability to analyze information and communicate findings clearly
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
