The Radiology Analytics IT team is seeking an IT Intern to support predictive
analytics and AI-driven initiatives within the Department of Radiology. This
role provides hands-on experience working with Radiology data assets, including
assisting with data exploration, model prototyping, AI workflow testing, and
dashboard development. The intern will contribute to developing, testing, and
validating analytics and AI use cases, supporting pilot evaluations, and helping
translate emerging use cases into technical solutions.
This position offers the opportunity to collaborate within a team environment
while taking on individual assignments. The intern will gain experience applying
programming and data skills in real-world healthcare scenarios, learning new
technologies, and contributing to innovative solutions that support clinical and
operational improvements.
The primary purpose of the Internship is to provide an intern with relevant
field experiences in their chosen field of study. One or more mentors will be
assigned to the intern to provide instruction, guidance and to assess
performance. The intern is responsible for observing the functions and
processes of the assigned work unit. In addition, the intern may be given
selected work assignments to reinforce the learning experience, to assess the
performance levels and to provide benefit to the work unit. The intern will be
responsible for completing all internship-related assignments and reports for
both Mayo and the participating educational facility. The duration and timing
of the internship will be arranged with the intern.
