a President/Toxicologist (lead scientist),

WDA has openings for 3 students to fill the positions soon to be vacated by
other interns as they pursue
professional school or fulltime industry employment. You will learn how to
assess the safety of chemicals
that may leach from medical devices using online sources and in silico programs.
You will summarize
these data using our templates. You will be paid as a consultant/1099
independent contractor ($30/hour)
while working virtually and setting your own times. You will work 1:1 with our
Director of Operations.
All work is remote/virtual and all product/reports prepared by you will be
templated for editing and
critique. Understanding health/safety is important, so training in
biology/chemistry is useful. Interns are
typically majoring in biology, chemistry, engineering, biomedical engineering,
premed, prelaw,
psychology, but there is no requirement.
An ideal intern is highly proficient in online research, including peer reviewed
and academic sources, and
has strong data analysis and scientific writing skills. This individual can
produce clear, persuasive, and
well-structured technical discussions. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word,
especially formatting and
template development, is required. The intern is self-motivated, highly
detail-oriented, and able to work
independently with minimal errors/correction.
