Chesapeake Technology International (CTI) is seeking a motivated Skill Bridge intern to join our Solutions Support team as a Solutions Support Technician. This internship is part of CTI’s commitment to supporting transitioning service members through Skill Bridge, offering hands-on experience across key programs to help bridge the gap between military service and civilian careers.
As a Skill Bridge Intern at CTI, you will engage in a comprehensive, cross-functional learning experience designed to build foundational knowledge and practical skills in technical support, business development, and project management. This Skill Bridge internship offers a unique opportunity to develop a well-rounded understanding of CTI’s operations and contribute meaningfully to mission-driven initiatives.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Gaining familiarity with CTI’s mission, organizational structure, and operational environment
Understanding and adhering to security, compliance, and administrative protocols
Setting up and managing work equipment and accounts
Exploring the TAK ecosystem, including ATAK, TAKX, and TAK Server technologies
Shadowing support activities and observing troubleshooting workflows
Reviewing training materials and documentation practices
Participating in mentorship discussions focused on technical career development
Observing internal business development processes and proposal preparation
Reviewing non-sensitive BD materials and understanding customer engagement strategies
Learning how business development aligns with Army initiatives and technical priorities
Gaining exposure to CTI’s project management tools, planning rhythms, and risk tracking
Exploring Agile and sprint-based planning methodologies
Connecting insights across technical, business, and project domains
Participating in team integration activities and feedback sessions
Preparing a final reflection document and completing program closeout procedures
Requirements
Location: This is a remote based position that offers flexibility in work location. However, the role requires up to 10% travel, which may include site visits, client meetings, team offsites, or industry events. Travel will be scheduled as needed based on project demands and business priorities.
Necessary Skills and Experience
Active-duty service members within the final 180 days of their military service
Minimum 10 years of military service specializing in advanced technical warfare, organizational design andinnovation, logistics, and leadership development
Strong interest in technology, defense, and mission-driven work
Eager to learn and collaborate across technical and business domains
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Must have an active U.S. government Top Secret security clearance and be SCI eligible.
U.S. citizenship is required to obtain security clearance.
Beneficial Skills and Experience
Familiarity with TAK products is a plus but not required
