Job Description Summary The Communications Summer Intern will support Enterprise’s Communications team by contributing to editorial and content-creation efforts. The intern will help tell the stories of our residents, partners, and programs through interviews, blog posts, and other written and digital content that advances our communications goals. This position offers hands-on experience in nonprofit communications, storytelling, and content strategy. Weekly hours: 37.5; Timeframe of internship: June 1- August 31, 2026. Seeking applicants located in San Francisco/Northern CA region, the Mid-Atlantic region or New York however we are open to considering applicants in other locations given the role is remote. Job Description Conduct interviews with staff, residents, partners, and other stakeholders to gather stories and information. Write clear, engaging blog posts, articles, and short-form stories aligned with organizational voice and messaging. Draft and edit content to support communications plans, campaigns, and organizational priorities. Assist with editorial planning, including pitching story ideas and meeting deadlines. Research topics related to affordable housing, community development, and social impact to support content development. Collaborate with Communications team members to revise and refine content based on feedback and editorial style. Assist with basic content formatting and posting for web, email, or social media channels. Support content tracking, copyediting, archiving, and editorial calendars Provide general project support to the communications team as needed Attend relevant meetings, events, or site visits to support storytelling efforts Qualifications: Coursework or experience in communications, journalism, English, public relations, marketing, or a related field preferred. Experience writing for publication and familiarity with blogs, digital content, or nonprofit storytelling. Interest in affordable housing, urban planning, social justice, and community and economic development. Experience using basic content management systems or digital publishing tools. Software experience: Microsoft Office Suite; Familiarity with publishing tools preferred. Total Rewards at Enterprise: You will be working with a group of talented professionals who are motivated by serving the community and addressing the need for affordable housing. The base pay for this role is $20 to $24 for undergraduate students and $24-$28 for graduate students, depending on level of skills and experience. The salary range for this position is represented by the low and high end of the range for the amount to be paid for the position. Salaries paid at Enterprise will vary based on factors that may include skills, education, location, experience, and performance.
