Intern - Data Analyst

SUMMARY
As a Data Analytics Intern you will engage across all functions of the company,
including corporate and clinical functions. Responsibilities will include
aggregating data sets utilizing a combination of software, SQL and Alteryx, and
building custom visualizations within Tableau. In this position, you will apply
critical thinking to ensure data integrity and quality control is applied to
each data set and have the opportunity to present your analysis and products to
internal customers. Additionally, this is a great opportunity to work with a
dynamic and collaborative team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties and
tasks may be assigned.
* Assist analysts and supervisors in data aggregation. Prepare data through use
of SQL and Alteryx for optimal performance in Tableau Reporting. Assist with
tableau visualizations and fine-tuning.
* Participates in team concepts and promotes a team effort; performs duties in
accordance with company policies and procedures.
* Attend various stakeholder meetings and take notes and help with follow-up.
* Assist in data requirements documentation.
* Intern will participate in activities to enhance connection to the company as
a whole and encourage personal growth.
* Creates and publishes periodic reports, as well as necessary ad hoc reports.
* Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities.
* Thrive in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
* Regular and reliable attendance is required for the job in addition to
professional and excellent communication.
* Follow HIPAA guidelines and Privacy standards.
Qualifications
Qualifications/Requirements:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each
essential duty satisfactorily.
Requirements include:
* Bachelor's degree preferred; degree in finance, decision sciences,
healthcare, business, or another analytical discipline strongly preferred.
* Expressed interest in healthcare management and analytics.
* 0 to 2 years' experience with large data sets, data dissemination, and
complex problem-solving; other relevant experience will be considered;
previous dialysis experience a strong plus.
* Strong communication and being a self-starter are preferred.
* Proficient with all Microsoft Office products, including Outlook and Word.
* Advanced analytical skills required, Excel and Microsoft SQL.
* Tableau and Alteryx skills a plus
